Odoo Implementation for Manufacturing Companies

The C2i Odoo Implementation Methodology

Learn, Validate and Configure Odoo Before Committing to a Full Implementation

Through a live online training course eligible for FUNDAE funding, your company's key users will learn Odoo, evaluate different configuration options and define a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that will serve as the foundation for completing the implementation.

Your Odoo Partner for Engineering and Manufacturing

We help you evaluate Odoo, choose the edition that best fits your business, manage your Odoo Enterprise subscription, or advise you on the infrastructure required for Odoo Community. We also support you throughout the entire implementation process.

We don't believe Companies should decide how to implement Odoo before they truly know it

That's why C2i reverses the traditional implementation process. We first train your key users and, during the training itself, we understand your business processes, configure Odoo and validate every decision together. At the same time, we can begin data migration and the technical work required to complete the implementation.

The Real Problem with Traditional Odoo Implementations

Many implementation projects begin by defining the project scope before the customer fully understands Odoo and its capabilities. This often leads to:

  •  Decisions made too early with insufficient information.
  •  Processes designed around incorrect assumptions.
  •  Unrealistic expectations and constant scope changes.
  •  Key users joining the implementation too late.
  •  Higher costs, delays and excessive dependence on consultants.
  •  Go-live projects with immature business processes.

The C2i Odoo Implementation Methodology

At C2i, Implementation Training is always the first phase of every project and is specifically designed for the key users selected by the customer.

  •  Implementation Training is always the first project phase.
  •  Key users participate from day one.
  •  Training concludes with a validated Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
  •  Decisions are documented and validated at the right time.
  •  The implementation is based on real business requirements rather than assumptions.
  •  Data migration begins from an already validated MVP.

The C2i Odoo Implementation Process

The implementation progresses through a structured process, from Implementation Training to Continuous Improvement.

1. Implementation Training

Key users learn Odoo through practical, hands-on training.

2. Understand, Decide and Validate

Business processes are analyzed and implementation decisions are validated.

3. Configure and Define the MVP

A Minimum Viable Product is configured to serve as the basis for the complete implementation.

4. Complete the Implementation

Configurations, migrations, customizations and integrations are carried out.

5. Optimize and Improve

The customer continues evolving with the Odoo C2i Business Program.

Much more than a Training Course

At the end of the Implementation Training your company will have:

  •  Trained and empowered key users.
  •  A real understanding of Odoo's capabilities and limitations.
  •  A validated and functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
  •  The company's main processes already defined and validated.
  •  Configuration and customization requirements clearly identified.
  •  Data import, migration and integration needs identified.
  •  Potential custom development requirements identified.
  •  A clear roadmap for completing the implementation.

Evaluate Odoo before taking on the risk of a full implementation

Implementation Training may be eligible for FUNDAE funding.

This allows your company to learn Odoo, validate its suitability and define an initial functional solution (MVP) before committing to a large consulting, configuration or development project.

Funding is subject to each company's available FUNDAE training credit and compliance with the applicable requirements established by FUNDAE for companies based in Spain.

Choose the Training Format That Best Fits Your Business

Both options follow the C2i Odoo Implementation Methodology. The only difference is the level of customization and how the training is delivered.

Key Users participate from day one

A successful implementation depends on involving the people who truly understand how the company operates.

Implementation Training is intended for key users, not for every end user.

We recommend involving representatives from the company's main departments, since they understand the actual processes, identify business requirements and validate implementation decisions throughout the training.

There is no fixed number of participants. What matters is ensuring that all key business areas are represented.

Typical Key Users

  •  Executive Management
  •  Sales
  •  Project Management
  •  Purchasing
  •  Inventory
  •  Manufacturing
  •  Finance & Administration

  • The final team composition depends on the company's size, the selected Odoo modules and the project scope.

What Do We Mean by a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)?

The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is the first operational version of your Odoo database. It represents your company's main business processes and allows them to be validated before data migration and full implementation begin.

The objective of the MVP is to define and validate the most important business processes. Once this functional database has been validated, identifying the required configurations, customizations, migrations and integrations becomes significantly easier.

Functional Database

Represents your company's main business processes and serves as the foundation for completing the implementation.

Validated Processes

Key users validate processes, configurations and implementation decisions before the project continues.

Clear Roadmap

Configurations, migrations, integrations and developments required for the implementation are clearly identified.

Complete Your Implementation on a Validated Odoo Database

Configuration & Customization

Configuration of modules, permissions, views, automations and workflows tailored to your company's requirements.

Data Import & Migration

Import of customers, suppliers, products and other business information from spreadsheets and existing systems.

Odoo Studio

Customization of forms, fields, views and automations without developing custom modules.

Additional Odoo Modules

Deployment of additional Odoo modules whenever they provide valuable functionality and help complete your implementation.

CAD–ERP Integrations

Integration of Odoo with Onshape, SolidWorks and other applications through the CAD–ERP Add-ins and Integration Solutions developed by C2i.

Custom Developments

Development of custom functionality whenever the customer's requirements cannot be met through standard configuration or the existing tools.

End-User Training

After Odoo has been implemented, your company can also contract customized training for the users who will work with the system.

Training is delivered directly on your company's own Odoo database, using its real modules, processes and data.

This training is optional and is not always necessary. In smaller companies, all users may already have participated in the initial training. In other cases, key users can train the rest of the organization internally.
